I competed in TSA's Data Science & Analytics event, a two-person competition centered around applying data to solve real-world problems. The event consists of three stages: developing a formal research portfolio, presenting and defending the project before a panel of judges through a scientific poster, and—if selected as a semifinalist—creating a data visualization and synopsis. Our team advanced past the initial portfolio evaluation to present at the National Conference, ultimately finishing Top 24 in the nation after the presentation round. The event emphasizes using data to investigate complex issues, communicate findings clearly, and support conclusions with evidence.

Research Portfolios
Two Years, Two Portfolios
I competed in Data Science & Analytics during both the 2025 and 2026 TSA seasons. A major component of the event is a formal research portfolio documenting each team's investigation, methodology, data analysis, visualizations, and conclusions. These portfolios represent the complete body of work submitted for competition and provide a detailed look at the research behind each project.
How COVID-19 Reshaped the Housing Market
This research examined how the COVID-19 pandemic reshaped housing market trends by analyzing the relationship between population density, household income, and home price appreciation before and after 2020.
This project placed 4th at the Regional Conference, narrowly missing qualification for the Texas State Conference. Despite the result, it laid the foundation for the research and presentation that eventually advanced to the National Conference in 2026.
